Jérôme Meyer is an independent choreographic artist based in the Netherlands and supported by Korzo production in The Haag.
His works dig into the gap between sensuous informations, intuitive recognition, direct experiences and the creation of instant knowledge.
He is currently on tour with Corps à Corps his last work he did in collaboration with Isabelle Chaffaud, a succesfull work well received by the press and the audience.
His works have been shown in many Dutch theatres as well as in Germany, France, South Africa, Italy, U.S. and Switzerland.

Swiss-born Jérôme Meyer began to focus on choreography in 2002, after dancing with the Nederlands Dans Theater I, Batsheva Dance Company and Grand Theatre de Genève.
In 2002, he staged the expressive piece The Ship for the spring festival of Korzo and was quickly followed by Innervoice.
Lumières du désert  was commissioned for the Egyptian tour of the Geneva Dance Company with music of Om Kalsoum.

Compass for Fools was premiered in November 2004, during the CaDance festival of modern dance in The Hague, The Netherlands.

In December ’05, Meyer created together with Isabelle Chaffaud an evening length work of Corps à Corps.
This duet was very well received by public and press and is touring internationally.

Meyer en Chaffaud latest works are Seed, the result of a five weeks workshop with Philly dancers
created for Life Arts Festival in Philadelphia and Kamerdans, a site specific performance performed in 43 apartments in the Haag during CaDance 2006.
Fierce Youth, work for 15 dancers was premiered with Twools at Scapino Ballet Rotterdam in June 2007.

Their next work, Diable au Corps will premiere the 10 of January 2008 at Korzo theatre in The Haag, NL.
Meyer is holding a MA in Choreography.
